This is the first step in the process of getting plugged in at Harvest.
Are you excited about the possibility of becoming a part of our church family? We would love to have you join us for an informal get together with our pastor and other key church leaders to hear about our history, ministry philosophy and vision. We also have a question and answer period, fellowship and light refreshments. Childcare is available.
Join us 5 mins after each service
This is the second step in the process of getting connected to Harvest.
Step 2 will give you a solid understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. It is designed to help you learn what it means to Worship, Walk with, and Work for Christ here at Harvest Bible Chapel. The class is taught by a ministry leader and is a requirement for anyone interested in becoming a member. The next Step 2 will be held on June 2nd.
Step 3 starts with filling out a Commit Card at the end of Step 2 where you indicate what your next step is to commit to this local church. Depending on where you are, your next step could be one or more of the following: Salvation, Baptism, or Serving. This step is about continuing to grow spiritually and relationally by in rolling up your sleeves through service to Jesus and His church, and in making Harvest your church home. It’s the step that never stops.
The New Testament clearly indicates that groups of people who were followers of the Lord Jesus Christ identified themselves with and committed themselves to a particular local body. In order to implement the principles of accountability and commitment to the local body of Christ, as defined in the New Testament and practiced in the early churches, Harvest Bible Chapel recognizes the need for formal membership. Membership at Harvest Bible Chapel is for all who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and have visibly demonstrated that commitment through believer’s baptism.
We aren’t just a church with small groups, we’re a church of small groups.
Small Groups are an essential part of the life of our church. We’re not meant to do life alone and we long for people to walk along side us and point us to Christ. Small Groups are where lasting relationships are made.
Attend Step 2 for more info or stop by the Get Connected table on Sundays to get involved.
We believe that the baptism of a believer in Jesus Christ is both an act of obedience as well as a public declaration of and identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
